Revive Tired Lawns

Revive Tired Lawns After Summer with Lawn Boost

After a hot, dry summer many lawns look jaded: pale in colour, thin in places and slow to recover from wear. An autumn lawn feed is the smartest way to restore vigour while the soil is still warm and roots are active. Viano Lawn Boost is designed to green, thicken and strengthen grass — with the added advantage of long‑lasting nutrition. It feeds for up to 100 days, so one early‑autumn application supports recovery right into late season.

What makes Lawn Boost different?

Lawn Boost is an organic‑based, organo‑mineral fertiliser formulated with magnesium and iron to deliver a richer, healthier green and stronger sward. It stimulates robust growth and improves resistance to drought and disease, helping turf bounce back after summer stress. Beneficial bacteria in the granules convert thatch into plant food, so you get nutrition and natural clean‑up in one pass. The product is endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) — reassurance that it’s both effective and environmentally considerate.

Eco credentials you can trust

Behind the product is Viano’s commitment to sustainability. The factory in Belgium runs on solar power, generating enough electricity to meet its needs and reduce CO₂ emissions, part of a broader “green company” approach that includes recyclable packaging and careful raw‑material selection. Choosing Lawn Boost supports a manufacturer investing in cleaner production.

How and when to apply

Apply Lawn Boost in early autumn while grass is actively growing — ideally when soil temperatures are consistently above 12°C and rain is forecast within a few days. If no rain falls within a week, water the lawn to activate the granules. Spread evenly using a calibrated rotary or drop spreader; as a guide, a 10 kg bag covers approximately 200 m² (always check the label for the exact spread rate). Because it’s organic‑based, scorching risk is minimal when used correctly

Tip: Mow first and remove clippings so the granules reach the soil. Avoid feeding during drought or frost. Brush any stray granules off paving after application.

What if moss or bare patches are an issue?

  • If you can see moss: treat the moss first with MO Bacter, then follow with Lawn Boost to build density and colour. This sequencing stops moss coming back while you feed the grass.
  • If summer left bald or weak areas: overseed and support establishment with Viano Recovery, a preseeder and 100‑day feed containing Humifirst (humic and fulvic acids) to stimulate roots and help stressed turf recover.

  • If your soil is sour or compacted: autumn is an excellent time to correct acidity with Bio‑Lime. Raising the pH creates a healthier environment where grass can use nutrients efficiently and out‑compete moss. Bio‑Lime granules are easy to spread and can be used in autumn, winter or spring.

Within days you should see a fresher green and improved thickness as magnesium and iron take effect. Over the following weeks the 100‑day feed sustains steady growth and deeper rooting, improving wear tolerance and resilience as winter approaches. Regular autumn feeding lays the foundation for a denser, more disease‑resistant sward next spring.
